It’s a Drum n’ Bass collision course; BLVCK CROWZ and ESKEI83 synthesize something colossal on TAKING IT HIGHER

We’ve had decades to try and decipher the unwavering evolution of drum n’ bass. Each variation, from jungle to neuro, liquid to digital hardcore, the alchemy involved in transforming the heart of the genre never fails to floor me. Two international heavy hitters have come together to put their spin on the sound; BLVCK CROWZ, a Netherlands-native duo who’ve constructed a festival ready, hardstep-tinged form of bone rattling DnB, and ESKEI83; the champion turntablist turned Future Trap/Bass aficionado, who’s built a catalog of music manifested from some primal source of pure energy. Check out their collab below!

Hoooo boi it’s a banger. TAKING IT HIGHER hits that festival energy itch we’ve been so deprived of this past year. That tasteful build of classical piano trickling over shimmering impacts, bedrock level sub-bass, the subtle grit to the melodic vocal run, then FREEZE – RECORD SCRATCH. The BLVCK CROWZ barrage meets ESKEI83‘s signature turntablist flourishes, with synth leads that sound like they’re trying to tear out of the speakers. It’s blinding how bright these leads cut through the mix, being versatile enough to with withstand a drum n’ bass to hip-hop beat switch at the tail end of the track. This is the shit that makes you want to move fast, no lie. Don’t sleep on either of these artists, each injecting their own distinctive flair into a cohesive track, and into their own monumental catalogs. Be sure to support them in the links down below!
